Euonymus europaeus

Native to much of Europe. It is a deciduous shrub or small tree and grows to 3-6 m tall. The leaves are opposite 3-8 cm long and 1-3 cm broad, dark green in sommer, autumn color from yellow green to reddish-purple. The capsular fruit ripens in autumn, and is red or pink. When ripe, the four lobes split open to reveal the orange seeds.
