Tilia platyphyllos ‘Rubra’

The old cultivar of large-leaved lime 'Rubra'' is ar slow-growing tree whith a broad, conical crown and height of 15 m. In the winter the twigs turn red. The leaves are round to whith a tapered top; when the leaves first emerge they have a red tint but later they turn dark green. The underside remains softly hairy. The small, aromatic flowers are arranged in drooping clusters of 3 to 5 together.
